MK Quane

MK QUANE is a writer-director from Kildare. In 2024, after working in TV/commercial production, MK won the Shortgrass Commission Award to make her debut short film, “Heartsick.” “Heartsick” is an award-winning comedy-drama about female friendship breakup, which has picked up Best Short Film at the WFT Ireland 2025 Awards, Best International Film at BRADIFF and is currently longlisted for the 1.4 Awards in London. MK’s work is driven by comedy, storytelling and explorations of gender and queerness. Her next directing project, “HRTeaze,” will be released in the summer.

MISSES (TV series)
Set in Ireland 1968, trailblazing Doctor Nora Troy, her queer sister Jose, controversial radio star Dot and conservative agony aunt, Bridget, come together to defy church, state and social convention, heralding in the National Gay Alliance and Irish Women’s Liberation movements.
