Jill Campbell
JILL CAMPBELL is an award-winning filmmaker and a produced playwright. Her work centers on women navigating power, authorship, and the complexity of their own stories. Her documentaries have screened at festivals worldwide, including Tribeca, DOC NYC, Woodstock, Newport Film, and Warsaw. She directed and produced MR. CHIBBS (Village Voice Critic’s Pick), SEAT 20D (Apple TV, Kanopy), and BEYOND THE GAZE: JULE CAMPBELL’S SWIMSUIT ISSUE, her most personal film. The documentary premiered at the 2024 Woodstock Film Festival, earned a nomination for Excellence in Directing, and won jury awards at seven festivals, including Best Documentary at the 2025 Omaha Film Festival. She is now developing the narrative adaptation of BEYOND THE GAZE. Jill holds an MFA from Hunter College and has received fellowships from Killer Films/Stony Brook Southampton and Mabou Mines.
