EMMY-nominated HELENA MEDINA (UK) started her career as a screenwriter at NBC in New York. Since then, she has created and written numerous series and miniseries that have won international awards and nominations, such as: EMMY, two Silver Medals at the New York Festivals; FIPA d’Argent at Biarritz, France; ONDAS Award; National Television Award of Spain; ALMA Award; World’s Best Screenplay Award at the Festival of Shanghai; among many others. She is currently writing and showrunning a series for Amazon as Executive Producer; and has just finished writing the series XRey (Sony/Lionsgate) with Howard Gordon as Executive Producer.

Helena is also a specialist at the Creative Europe-Media Programme of the European Union, and has taught masterclasses at the most prestigious universities and script labs worldwide. She has been a jury member at the EMMY Awards in the USA, the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain, and the WGGB Television Awards in the UK. She has a Ph.D. from Columbia University in New York and is a member of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain.
